Statement from Missouri Chamber President and CEO Daniel P. Mehan regarding today’s ruling in St. Louis

“Today’s decision means Missouri’s business community will have to continue to wait to learn whether the City of St. Louis will be allowed to punish local employers with a new wage mandate. In the meantime, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry will advocate for having consistent business regulations that are established at the statewide level. The most important step we can take right now is for Missouri’s lawmakers to act today and override the governor’s veto of House Bill 722, which will stop more cities from following St. Louis down this harmful path.”
